LPR celebrates 10 years of activity in Spain

In June this year, the Spanish subsidiary of LPR is celebrating the tenth anniversary of its activity in the pallet-pooling sector. LPR’s activity in Spain over these 10 years has pushed market share up to almost 20%, currently delivering close to 10 million pallets to the country’s principal manufacturers and distributors. This has been achieved through substantial internal restructuring undertaken by the company over the past 5 years to adapt to the requirements of the sector, and by the considerable investment made by the group to develop its activity in Spain.

Actions taken by LPR to improve its offer in the sector include a continuous effort to maintain pallet quality at the highest standard and its determination to provide customers with a fully-outsourced pallet service, covering both pallet supply and all aspects of administration. This is supported by a policy of permanent communication and absolute transparency. In addition, LPR offers a fully flexible service capable of providing a tailor-made response to the demands and needs of each of its customers. This is why, over the last few years, companies such as SAN BENEDETTO, NUTREXPA, HEINEKEN, GALLINA BLANCA, LEITE RIO, J.GARCÍA CARRIÓN, LACTALIS, IPARLAT, VICHY CATALÁN, PERNOD RICARD, SENOBLE and CADBURY, among many others, continue to work with LPR in Spain and to have confidence in its systems and in the people who make it possible.

According to a survey of a hundred European distributors in October 2008, LPR pallets are rated best in terms of quality compared to those of other pallet-pooling companies. “This is particularly important because more and more manufacturers, as well as distributors, are adopting automated production and warehousing systems,” points out Torsten Wolf, President of LPR.

German Carabe and Torsten Wolf (GIF) Germán Carabe, General Manager of LPR Spain adds: “While our products are of very high quality, it is even more important that our personnel should be leading professionals, able to provide an easily accessible service that satisfies the expectations of manufacturers and distributors. Confidence has to be won with good practice over time and can be lost very rapidly, which is why we strive continuously to maintain and improve our standards of service.”

Over the last few years, LPR’s growth in Spain has been progressing at a constant rate of around 20% a year, reflecting the Group’s clear determination to develop and expand its Spanish subsidiary. In the other countries where LPR Group has operations (FRANCE, PORTUGAL, UK and IRELAND, BELGIUM, THE NETHERLANDS, LUXEMBURG and GERMANY) growth in both activity and turnover has also been significant and encouraging.
