The European pallet-pooling specialist, LPR-La Palette Rouge (a Division of Euro Pool Group), is pursuing its digital transformation with the launch of two applications: a new version of its MyLPR customer portal, and the LPR Academy, an online training tool for its own personnel.
La Palette Rouge is speeding up its digital revolution. For this purpose, the specialist in the pooling of wooden pallets has concentrated on two topics that it considers particularly important: customer service, and the training of its staff.
MyLPR, a “Web 2.0” customer portal
Since the beginning of 2017, LPR has been offering its customers a completely new version of its MyLPR online portal. The new-generation version of the MyLPR portal can be accessed from the www.lpr.eu site, and is more user-friendly and interactive, benefiting as it does from the latest web technologies. LPR’s customers can now use new features: the creation and the follow-up of orders, access to billing, and dashboards enabling them to manage their pallet needs even more simply. These new services demonstrate LPR’s desire to offer its customers greater transparency and effectiveness, as expressed by Xavier GOUBE, the company’s Managing Director : “Our business is changing and the needs of our customers are, too. We need to listen to them carefully so as to be able to help them find ways of offering higher added value: optimising our processes is one of these, and this is one of the aspects that singles us out. The new version of MyLPR saves our customers time in the area of data management, for which we offer them an efficient, simple and innovative solution.”
LPR Academy, digital training for the company’s own staff
This digital revolution also applies to LPR’s personnel. To train its staff, the pooling specialist decided to set up the LPR Academy: an online training system for the use of the company’s 280 staff, at any of its eight European subsidiaries.
The system uses the Software as a Service (SaaS) model and can be accessed from any digital device (computer, tablet or smartphone) via a simple Internet connection. Based on the "blended learning” method, combining digital and classroom sessions, it has been designed to offer permanent interaction between the company and the learners, offering the latter a flexible learning process wherever they may be and whatever their job or level of seniority within the company.
“The LPR Academy is a practical illustration of the way we want to progress by developing the skills of our staff. We wanted it to be a real company university in a digital format. More than just a tool, it includes a complete offer for the development of our employees through a range of training schemes,” explains Isabelle Augerot, LPR’s Manager of Human Resources. LPR rates the notions of sharing and exchanging very highly, and intends this structure to become a way for its personnel to create real online communities where they can discuss, express themselves and share experiences and documents.
